Trattoria Gianni on 1711 N. Halsted St. is across the street from Steppenwolf Theater and near Royal George Theatre. Surely, Lincoln Park is noted for their excellent restaurants, but Trattoria Gianni has been in the neighborhood for 31 years and welcomed by the neighborhood associations.
My palate for Italian cuisine is usually very precise for liking southern Italian cooking since my ancestors came from Salerno, Italy and Molise, Italy. I know when a good restaurant has that flavor in their favorite dishes that represent my native culture. Trattoria Gianni’s menu features a diverse selection of regional Italian cuisine augmented with superb daily specials and an array of food with starters of antipasti such as Arancini Siciliani.
