APPLE CAKE & Black Forest Cake

Preheat the oven to 350°
Grease and flour a 9” x 13” cake pan.
1 box of yellow cake mix - dry
1 can of apple pie filling
1 tsp. vanilla
1 – 1 ½ tsp. ground cinnamon
Beat all ingredients. Apples will still be chunky.
Pour into cake pan. Bake for approximately 30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean and the cake pulls away from the side of the pan.
Streusel Topping for Apple Cake can be added on top of the uncooked batter. The streusel I use is made from Bisquick, butter, brown sugar and pecans. The topping will add about 10-15 minutes to the baking time. Once the cake has cooled, a powdered sugar glaze can be drizzled on.
Use cherry pie filling, a dash of cinnamon and 1 tsp. almond extract.
Black Forest Cake
1 box of chocolate cake mix, dry
1 can cherry pie filling
Follow above backing directions.
Frost or dust with powdered sugar.
