APPLE CAKE & Black Forest Cake

Preheat the oven to 350°
Grease and flour a 9” x 13” cake pan. Mix together: 1 box of yellow cake mix - dry 1 can of apple pie filling 4 eggs 1 tsp. vanilla 1 – 1 ½ tsp. ground cinnamon Beat all ingredients. Apples will still be chunky. Pour into cake pan. Bake for approximately 30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean and the cake pulls away from the side of the pan. |
Variations:
Streusel Topping for Apple Cake can be added on top of the uncooked batter. The streusel I use is made from Bisquick, butter, brown sugar and pecans. The topping will add about 10-15 minutes to the baking time. Once the cake has cooled, a powdered sugar glaze can be drizzled on. Cherry Variation: Use cherry pie filling, a dash of cinnamon and 1 tsp. almond extract.
